Startup Ins fail:pf=/usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile/START_DVEBMGS00_host not found

Hi Gurus,

Our DEV serevr is not running when we are giving startsap command It starts DB but SAP Instance is not started.So we are not able to start development server.

We have 2 instances in one server ( DEV & QAS ).

The log is as follows......

Hi Soumya,

Just try this,

Start your database first, then try to startsap with startsap r3.

If it is opening successfully, then stop your instance+database.

Restart DB+sap with startsap.

IF you are facing same with startsap r3 script, just open your database and send us R3trans -dx log.

Check your environment settings first. Which user account are you using for the startup?

Hi Soumya

is it one Windows ? if yes, then check the service for the instance whether it is defined or not and it's permissions
