Number Ranges

Dear All,

We want to expand the number ranges for my Sales Document and Outbound Delivery.

At present:

We are using the following for Sales Documents:

No. From No. To No. NR Status Ext.

01 0000000001 0004999999 2700032

02 0050000000 0005999999 X

and for OutBound Delivery:

No. From No. To No. NR Status Ext.

17 0080000000 0084800000 84100000

18 0085000000 0088999999 X

24 0084800001 0084999999

Query: As we are not using

No. From No. To No. NR Status Ext.

02 0050000000 0005999999 X

can we delete this and merge it to make it look like this:

No. From No. To No. NR Status Ext.

01 0000000001 0005999999 2700032

Please let me know the implications.

Similarly, for OutBound Delivery, we are not using:

No. From No. To No. NR Status Ext.

18 0085000000 0088999999 X

24 0084800001 0084999999

can we delete 18, 24 and merge it to make it look like this:

17 0080000000 0088999999 84100000

What are the implaications of deleting 18, 24

Dear Rakesh,

You can definitely delete the unused number ranges & merge the balance number ranges.

ONly thing to note is please dont make mistakes in status number (i.e. current number) & also see that 02, 18 & 24 is not used anywhere. Means remove the assignment of keys 02, 18 & 24 from all the Documents.

Hi

Yes, you can do that. However you will have to take care that the no. range object "02" for Order, and "18" and "24" of Delivery must not be used in any document type of Order or delivery. So check VOV8 and 0VLK first.
