Hi Pooja,

There are 2 apects of learning SAP XI/PI

1. Developer Consultant,

2. Techincal Consultant,

You are intrested to become as a Techincal Consultant, for that you can concentrate on

TBIT 50 and TBIT 51, just for knowledge sake you can look in to other TBITs like 40,41,42,43.

But note these TBITs are not same for SAP Netweaver PI 7.1.

what rols is to be played from a SAP Basis Consultant part for a frersh XI System????

It ranges from setup of the machine (i.e PI Installation ) to Connection establishment between different applications

for e.g: configuration of ECC as application system role for proxy communication

Creation of RFC destinations,ports ,.....for IDoc/RFC communications

Installation/ set up of drives for JMS/DB connections

Setting of properties in VA.

Hi ,

its really good idea to move XI bcz there is a good demand for basis+xi cunsulatants,

but you have to learn xi basis, become expertise in Netweaver Admin then start learning XI.

first read XI3.0 the move to PI7.1, u will find ton's of documnuts about XI search IN SDN and find below link u wl find all TBIT docs.

Chk the above link ,I suggest first understand the a/c which is same in 7.0 and 7.1 later explore new features available in 7.1
