Release Production Order update Batch

Hello,

production when release a batch is created and the production date and SLED is update in the Batch.

When Creating a Production Order and Releasing in the Productiob Order Header before saving the batch is created and the batch info is populated.

However when creating a production order and click the release button in the operation/component overview the batch is created however the production date and SLED in the batch is not updated.How this happening? can anyone had an explanation to this one? how could we resolve this?

however the production date and SLED in the batch is not updated

As per Standard SAP this 2 things are going to update at the time of GR and not at the time of Batch Creation.But for that there are some prerequisites.

1) Shelf Life expiration should be activate for the plant and Movement type(101,561).T.Code is OMJ5.

2) Total Shelf life should be maintain in Plant Data1 of Material Master for all Batch Managed Materials.

After Maintaining above things you will get a pop up screen to maintain the Production date or Shelf life expiration data at the Auto Goods Receipt during Confirmation.And incase of Manual GR through MB31 or MIGO Fields of Shelf Life expiration becomes mendatory to maintain the expiration date.
