Hi SRM Gurus,
We use the following attributes under the responisbilty tab of purchasing group to define organizational and product responsibility.
RESP_PRCAT
Number of the product category for which the purchasing group is responsible
RESP_PRGRP
Number of the organizational unit for which the purchasing group is responsible.
Do we need to maintain any product categories in extended attributes of purchasing group.
What is the usage of attribute PRCAT in extended attributes of purchasing group ?
Where do we maintain default value ?
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Regards, Anand

Hi Anand,
Responsibility for Purchase group defines as which Purchase group is responsible for buying the product catagory which user has selected for buying.
But which all catagories a user is authorised to purchase for is maintained in Extended attributes. When you define product catagotries in external attributes, you can define the product catagory as default.
I hope you get the relevant answer.
