QCI Error Unable to confirm Load

Hello Export,

I created bulk shipment and a statue of shipment is 2 Schedule (O4F2). I am unable to proceed further up to 6 Completely Confirmed. At the time of load confirmation (O4G1 )

I am getting below Heard error

u201CQuantity Conversion Interface: No response fro external programs u201C

Question : 1

What are the steps involve to confirming the bulk shipment.

Please help me.

Dear Gaurang,

The problem is not the business process of Shipment confirmation.

What you are seeing is a technical problem that often appears when using a legacy non-SAP-certified calculation based upon O/S executables called from your SAP system.

Talk to your basis people - this is their problem.

If you were using a complete "SAP certified integration" solution such as BCP from www.quantityware.com, this problem would not happen, and if you did have any questions, you would be able to call on us to provide immediate, competent support.

What routines are you using for temperature and density correction? Are you using the API C-Code? If you are getting an OS error, then the connection to the routines is broken. Use the HPM desktop calculator for quick checks, rather thn going through the motions of a delivery confirmation. You should also check with your basis team to make sure that what ever routines you are using are compiled and installed properly. Also check the reading group configuration to make sure that it is pointing to the correct routines.

Hi,

This problem is comes when the QCI interface is not link with the server. Generally while processing shipment it will check the material and covert it into the desired temerature. During conversion it will call external system which will maintain the conversion data . If this is not presents then it will gives an error.

Just small question which material group and UOM you have used.

Hi Gaurang,

This error is not related to TD, but rather to the HPM module.

It is probably occuring because there is something wrong with either the installation of the conversion routines or in the connection to these routines from SAP HPM module...

Check with your basis people to ensure the connection to the routines and installation is OK, and confirm this by doing manual conversions using the desktop calculator app in HPM.

Execute: ROIB_QCI_CALL_TEST program

IF you use RFC Server: You must be sure that the RFC connection is working

If you use Call System then: indicate the folder where you have these files :

Files required for QCI Functionality

IF you are sure that you have ASTM (server or Fonction module) then go to :

IMG >Industry solution oil and Gas >HPM>Quantity conversion interface>define conversion group and external function module settings

Select the table of your product and double click on external function calls and sequence

In FM (function module ) tab choose your method of call (ASTM call)

Via : QCI server = 4

Via : external program at OS level = 3. Save

If you save your ASTM files in kernel folder : usr\.....\run and same case usr\....\exe within

FM tab put only : Astm and not all your Path (sometime it s not working)
