Incoming IDOC

Hi friends,

We will get material master data with some custom fields also in the form of IDOCs from MDM system ,now i have to populate all idoc after validation in custom fields .

We are asked to use matmas05 basic type and EXIT_SAPLMV02_002 exit to validate custom fields.

I would like to know about Incoming idoc . How it will be processed. how to write codings to validate that fields. if i get sample codings it will be helpful. finaly how we can post it ..any program in jobs to be run?
