Hi,

My online disk back is failing for my development server with the following error.

BROO69E File name C:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA7\BTABD_7\BTABD.DATA7 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name E:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA3\BTABD_6\BTABD.DATA7 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name C:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA7\BTABD_8\BTABD.DATA8 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name E:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA3\BTABD_6\BTABD.DATA8 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name C:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA7\BTABI_6\BTABI.DATA6 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name E:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA6\BTABI_5\BTABI.DATA6 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name E:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_3\SYSTEM.DATA4 not unique - backup/verification not possible

BROO69E File name E:\ORACLE\DV1\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_4\SYSTEM.DATA4 not unique - backup/verification not possible

I have found a SAP NOTE 17163; it says that I need to rename the files.

Should I need to follow any standard naming conventions in order to rename the file?

Can anybody explain me why the file names are like this?

When I find out my production filesystem

L:\ORACLE\PR1\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_1\SYSTEM.DATA2

L:\ORACLE\PR1\SAPDATA1\SYSTEM_2\SYSTEM.DATA2

there was no issue for TAP backup.

Why only it is for my dvelopment for backup not in production?

Please help me on this regard.

Our environment: SAP R/3 4.7C, windows 2003, Oracle 10.2.0.2.0

Thanks and Regards

Satya

Hi,

I didn't find the solution from the above link. Whatever datafile renaming I can see from SAP note also. Will it resolve my problem? Is there any impact if I rename the file? Any standard naming convensation for renaming datafile? Can I renaming system tablespace datafile?

Thanks and Regards

How are you backing up these files? Did you try with DB13 or BRTOOLS?

to sort this out, you have multiple options.

1. rename files to a standard way.

2. reorg offending tablespace using SAP note 646681.

when this is fixed, always use BRTOOLS to manage your SAP/ORAcle database.
