Problems printing and exporting on Solaris

I recently deployed a Java application running in the Oracle 10gR3 Application Server on a Solaris 10 server. Development and testing was done in a Windows environment with Oracle 10gR3 Application Server and Windows 2003 server. The reports were developed using Crystal Reports 2008 and Crystal Reports for Eclipse. The JRC libraries from CR4E were incorporated in the application EAR file along with the .rpt files.

When the reports are run in the Solaris environment the reports are generated and displayed in the browser fine, but thee can not be printed or exported. The reports can be printed and exported in the Windows environment.

When the user clicks the Print button the Print to PDF dialog is displayed. When the user clicks the Export button on the Print to PDF dialog the browser window refreshes and displayed "Error UnknownExportFormat".

When the user clicks the Export button the Export dialog is displayed. When the user clicks the down arrow on the File Format dropdown list the list does not expand (as if there are no options available).

What can be done to resolve these problems?

Hi

Following are the links for the supported environment for CR2008 as well as CR4E. You will need to move around within these listed applications, or your project is likely to exhibit unexpected behaviour.

Link: [http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/communitycs/TechnicalPapers/cr_2008_supported_platforms_windows.pdf] {for CR2008}

Link: [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/504d0204-681e-2b10-2381-853d88974cfc] {for CR4E}

Do let me know in case you have any further queries.

Thanks.

Page 4 of the "Crystal Reports for Eclipse: Supported Platforms" document states the Solaris 10 is a supported Operating System for the Runtime (Java Reporting Component) and page 5 states the OAS 10G Rel.2 (10.1.2) is a supported Application Server. Based on that document it appears that Solaris is supported by Rel.3 of OAS 10g is not. Is there any plan to support OAS 10g Rel.3?
