Unable to view TIFF image in BSP page

Hi ,

I have put in the URL of a TIFF image in the BSP code to display the image but the image refuses to appear. I found out that a TIFF image does not appear even in a normal HTML page. Is there any way to make this possible.

Hi,

we had the same problem. As far as I know there is no "build in" way to display tiff-images with a browser.

We use a Java-applet to do this. We use ViewOne from Daeja image systems. Look at <a href="http://www.daeja.com/">http://www.daeja.com/</a>. That works very good.

Hope that helps.

Best regards

Renald

HI Renald,

Thanks a lot for your reply. We will be trying your solution; in the meantime, I would like to know if there is any other solution which would not require any extra viewer to be embedded or installed.

Thanks,

Tuhin

Hi Tuhin,

because of the complexity of TIFF files I don't think it is possible to view them without any extra viewer. Browsers are not able to render TIFF files as far as I know.

Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tagged_Image_File_Format and especially the last one of the provided external links.

Kind regards,

Alex
