DMR Functionality and best practices

Hello Experts

I am exporing Dyanmic Modif rule functionality.

Understand there are 03 options;

1.Dynamic modif at insp type level

2.Dynamic modif at lot level

3.Dynamic modif at Char level.

I have used the 2nd option successfully. I would like to hear from you guys on other two options.

How they are used and what set up is required to make them work.

Any documentation/thoughts will be appreciated.

Hi

Dynamic modif at insp type level - If you select this option SKIP rule is applicable for GR for perticular inspection type. For Ex you set DMR for Material having procurement type "X" and you want to skip lot created fro External Procurement only and Inter production lots should not considered. Then you can use this option.

"Dynamic modif at Char leve" - If you do not want to check perticular characteristic from each lot then this parameter can be used. You may use different SKIP rule for individual MIC.

Some Examples:-

Scenario 1

The task list contains the dynamic modification criteria material, vendor, and customer. This has the following effect:

• At goods receipt, the system maintains the quality level on the basis of the material and vendor.

• At goods issue, the system maintains the quality level on the basis of the material and customer.

Scenario 2

The task list contains the dynamic modification criteria material and vendor. This has the following effect:

• At goods receipt, the system maintains the quality level on the basis of the material and vendor.

• At goods issue, the system maintains the quality level on the basis of the material.

Scenario 3

The task list specifies the material as the dynamic modification criterion. This has the following effect:

• At goods receipt, the system maintains the quality level on the basis of the material.

• At goods issue, the system maintains the quality level on the basis of the material.
