Schedule Send Execl Report by E-mail to System User

Hello:

I need to schedule send Excel Report by E-mail to system user internet address. If only define the job by Reprot Agent? Do we have other method?

Hope this clear!Can you give some advice?

Hi Zagory,

It is pretty simple using Information Broadcasting. It should take a day for you to develop and test.

I stand on BW 3.5, I will ask our basis consultant about the BW service u touched. And I want to know how long I can finish the work of Infomation broadcaster?

Hi zagory,

i forgot one tech issue to be setup: The internet Mail gateway needs to be setup if you want to send proper e-mails.

presupposed all tech. issues are solved, I agree with my colleague. Setup is fairly easy to handle, as soon as you know the customers demands like

- who is allowed to send

- who will do it in the future

- who are the recipients

- when should the precalc. take place/when should the Workbook be executed (Timepoints, after dataupdate ...)

for authorisations check out object: s_rs_bcs.

also make sure that the executor has permissions for the backgroud user (serach in TRC SU21, i can not remember.)

if all is known = approx. 2-3 days until go live, depending on the complexity of the existing scheduling and the authorisation concept.

Not to mention the training for all that and the tchnical setup.

hi zagory,

dinesh is right, broadcaster will suit you.

To use it, watch out the following

if this is ok,then:

1. install microsoft.net framework 1.1

! you'll need MS IE 5.01 or higher!

2. ensure that you have sap gui 620 with bex frontend (or higher)

3. install MS Excel 2000 or higher

4. install BW precalculation service from server-comp. cd 6.40 (or download from marketplace) onto your or a PC.

5. Activate the service

6. create a precalculation server in transaction "rsprecadmin".

or else refer to the instguide in the marketplace.

the rest is use of the broadcaster which i may explain next time ...
