How to upload and search a document in KM

Hi Experts,

we are beginners in SAP EP.....can u guys provide me inputs for the follwing queries.....

How to upload a document in KM ?

How to search a document in KM?

How to disable the windows authentication for protals?

if it is enabled u can able to get into portals homepage while open browser ......now i need to know how to de-activitate this facility.....

Hi Jasmine,

You can use this KM upload iView( pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.km.ContentManager/

iViews/com.sap.km.IceUpload)to upload documents from a local data carrier to a KM folder in the Enterprise Portal.

You determine the target folders to which the documents are to be uploaded in the properties iView.

You can provide this iView to authors who always want to upload their documents to the same folder in the portal.

Users can use this KM Search iView to search for items in KM repositories.

Hi Jasmine,

For uploading a document in KM -

1) Logon to portal with a user having administrator rights.

2) Navigate to Content Admin -> KM Content

3) Select the folder in which you want to upload the documents

4) Click on the context menu, and New -> Upload

5) Select the file to be uploaded and Click Upload

For searching the document in KM -

You need to configure the TREX search engine, create indexing on the folder on which you want to search...

For disabling the Integrated Windows Authentication-

In the Visual Administrator,in the HeaderVariableLoginModule set the "windows_integrated" as "false"
