SCOT and SMTP

Hi,

If i need to use SMTP adapter, is there any specific configuration need to be done in ABAP stack of XI.

What is SCOT transaction related to SMTP configurations. Does all messages route through sapconnect.

It will be same as File adapter.

When you use the mail-adapter, you don't need to configure SCOT. In the communication channel you have to configure the connection information for you mail server (IP, User etc.). Your XI also has to be able to reach the mail server (no firewall between etc.)
