Hi folks,
I was wondering whether the .NET connector could be used together with the .NET compact framework in order to build .NET applications that run on a mobile platform and connect real-time (obviously) with SAP R/3 ...
Thanks,
Steven
Steven,
The best way to do this (in my opinion) is to build Web Services that use the SAP .Net Connector to perform the SAP-related functionality, and call the Web Services from the mobile application.

Hi Joseph,
Exactly! After I posted the message it suddently occured to me as well that using web services would be a much easier solution as
1) they are very easy to build and maintain in one central place
2) can be used by other platforms as well
3) put a lesser burden on the mobile equipment and reduce cost of maintenance ...
Thanks for the input! I am still curious though whether the dll's can run on the compact framework ...
Bye,
Steven
