Layout Management in ALV

Hi,

I would like to ask on how to enable the Layout Management in hierarchical list? When I displayed the output of the program and went to Settings => Layout, the LAYOUT MANAGEMENT is greyed out. How can I enable this? You help is highly much appreciated.. Thanks!

Did you check the Standard program BALVHD01

I_SAVE                   = G_SAVE
            IS_VARIANT               = G_VARIANT

Check the parameters of ALV function...if you don't pass any thing, then you will not get the layout option.

I have already declared those data (G_SAVE and G_VARIANT) in alv but still the layout management is greyed out..

Check you have the proper Authorizations, authorization object is S_ALV_LAYO

it is happening only for Hieratchy ALV. or for all other alv reports...

What values did you pass to the variables: G_SAVE and G_VARIANT?

You have to pass G_SAVE = 'A'.
