Error while configuring SLD.

Hi All,

I have SAP Netweaver 7.0 installed in my system. I want to configure SLD in my system. I have followed the steps mentioned in the following link

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0c1d495-048e-2b10-babd-924a136f...

I could successfully execute all the steps till Step 8

Step 8 - "Click on the icon to test the Data Transfer from J2EE to SLD Server."

This is the error I get in this step:

"Operation Failed! Failed to collect SLD Data.

Failed to send HTTP Data:503:Service Unavailable. Please check if the target SLD System is available and the SLD Bridge is started there."

What does the error mean?

Please suggest me how to resolve this error.

Regards,

Padmalatha.K

Hi

Thank you for the reply.

I have logged into SLD - http://<hostname>:<Portnumber>/sld as Administrator.

But all the links in "Administration" Page are greyed out.

I have checked J2EE engine. Its up and running.

Not sure what is missing.

But all the links in "Administration" Page are greyed out

You need LcrAdministrator assigned to user and then in SLD data supplier via VA you need to assign application roles to user groups.

Hi Thank you for the reply.

Iam logging into VA using the Administrator user. Iam not sure if this user has the "LcrAdministrator" role. If not, how do i assign this role?

Please suggest.

If the SLD was not configured during the installation then you have to perform all of the configurations manually per the SLD post installation guide. This is why the required Users and Roles are missng.

You can locate the Post installation Guide on SDN at

Hi,

I have successfully configured SLD.

Thanks for the links.

But when I open the link : http://<HostName>:<PortNumber>/sld,

in the Administration Page, I cannot see the link "Data Supplier Bridge"

And moreover, im getting the following error in server log :

#0 05/12/2009 22:56:18.359 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_21] WARNING com.sap.lcr.sagent.DataSupplierServlet: Request ignored! Received data for SLD bridge from 10.224.25.72. Bridge not started.

Hello,

Im surprised that the role does not exist, however if this is the case you will need to create this role and

perform the appropriate role to action mapping per the SLD Post Installation Guide.

I came to know from the basis consultant did the installation - that he selected the option "No SLD Destination"

Has this got anything to do with the error Iam facing?

Please suggest.
