Handling Scrap in SAP B1

Former Member

i have 20% scrp generated on bom

but the fg gets the complete price from the rm

and scrap gets over the cost as defined in price list

if the rm input is say 100/- and fg is receipted at 100 and scrap at say 20

thr is a variance of 20

i need the fg to get 80 and balance 20 to scrap

How is it possible in standard SBO?

As per B1 Definition,

Scrap will be defined with negative quantity in bill of material.

It is the system logic that Scrap cannot be managed by serial numbers or batch numbers..

Scrap item cost is not reduced from the total production cost/ finished product cost.

Also check this WIKI, for reference

As per your requirement, you have to make fg to get 80 and balance 20 to scrap, for this you have to material revaluation.

Every time doing a material revaluation does not seem a good option, as the company where this solution needs to be implemented has scrap on each and every product and all the Production orders.

Can this be handled by SDK?

I assume that this can be done with SDK. But to verify, you'll have to post this question to the SDK Forum.
