Hi,

Our requirement is : we want to assign persons to activities and wbse, i.e. only we want to enter the name of the person against the activity and wbse; that's it.

for this minimal requirement what configuration we need to do?

Dear Harsh,

You can maintain Person Assignment for Activity is as follows.

Enter CJ20N Transction

Create WBS Element

Create Internal Activity

In Internal Activity, click on Internal Tab, Here you have to maintain Work Center & Work Field ( put some fig)

Then carry out scheduling for your project.Save.

Now, again click on same activity, you will find Person Assignment Tab. Here you can maintain Person's for activity.

Tick the "Capacity Requirement" in Network Scheduling tab. Then maintain workcenter in the activity.

Based on your requirement use OPS7 or OPS6 for creating the persons responsible.

However to allocate a team to the WBS you can go through the project builder by selecting the appropriate WBS and selecting the 'Edit > WBS element >Project team for WBS element (Ctrl+ F11).

Hi,

In activity , you have Person Assignment Tab. Here you can enter Persons.

Check the capacity planning check box in network and run scheduling.

If you want to simply identify the persons for the activities use the 'Long Text' tab as a work around. You can list down the persons there as text.

Otherwise I don't think it is not possible to directly list down the persons in case of activities.
