Cost centre & Profit Centre.

Dear All,

I want to know that can we assign or define cost centre into the profit centre ?

and one more is it possible to create cost center under profit centre ?

Hi,

The concept of Cost center and Profit Center is totally different, understand the concept of cost center and profit center. the relation ship between those 1 profit center : many Cost centers and 1cost center:1 profit center.

Hi,

We cannot assign Cost Center to Profit Center. Its always profit center is assigned to Cost Center. How ever, there is an alternative that can be used. You can input Cost Center number in Deaprtment field in profit center available in Basic data tab and i think this should serve your purpose. Only restrictions here is you will not have drop down option.

You cannot create cots center under profit center as 1st cost center is to be created and then profit center is assigned to it.

Hello,

What is your exact requirement.

You have the option to put profit center in a cost center master data.

Its nothing but creating a cost center under a profit center.
