Hi
I am looking for a way to automatically kill a report which takes over a certain length of time, when run from either deski or scheduler in infoview. So:
- if a user runs a report, and this report takes more than X minutes, the report stops running automatically
- if a job which is scheduled to run takes more than X minutes, the job fails
Does anyone know of settings, or any way to do this?
Thanks.
Hi Louise,
Please check tis:-

To biref you about this, you can log on to Central Management Console and then change the Connection Time Out for Web Intelligence Report Server.

Thanks, but I am talking about running reports from:
- desktop intelligence
- scheduler in infoview
There is no setting for connection timeout in CMC for desktop intelligence or job scheduler.
I changed the universe setting, and this works nicely for desktop intelligence, but doesn't apply to the scheduler. Any ideas?
Thanks again.
