upgrade from 3.5 to 7.0 (RSMDCNVEXIT)

Hi

Is it absolutely neccessary to run transaction RSMDCNVEXIT (Converting Inconsistent Characteristic Values) before the upgrade.

Our system status says 'all characteristics has correct internal values' so i am not sure we need to bother with this as our system is not the biggest anyway.

If i was going from 3.0 to 3.5 then I would definately do it of course but from 3.5 to 7.0 i am not too sure.

Hello Goawtason,

You can skip this test. We skipped this stpe and we have yet not faced any issue. All data loads to master data are working fine.

But carry out other steps for master data consistency mentioned in the upgrade guide.

You can skip this test as its not mandatory one. We did the same when we went for BI7.0 from BW 3.5.
