cost centre disabling

Hi All,

If i disable a cost centre in a controlling area assigned to a legal entity, will it be disabled across

the Legal Entity and all modules connection to that company will not be able to use it..?

Pl explain

You can disable a cost center either by specifying a end validity date so that it cannot be used for postings after that date. Other option is to lock the cost center for postings by checking the appropriate lock indicators for primary costs,secondary costs etc in the cost center master in KS02.If cost center would never be sued again and it contains no postings then it can also be deleted through KS04.

Once you diable cost center, you cannot use it in that controlling area.

how is a cost centre disabled usually..?

check box or end date..?
