Text Variable

For a key figure, we are using two variables in the formula (Current month and current month -1), the text variable in the label is not getting displayed because of that.

If we use only one variable in the formula (Current month or current month -1), the text variable in the label is getting displayed correctly.

Snapshot of result

'Reported kWhr for Current Month -1(&ZRSRSLM&). The lable shud be Current Month - 1 instead of &ZRSRSLM& i.e. Jan 2006 in this case when we pass the Month as Feb 2006.

Hello Varun,

you can use the same text variable for both the columns.

For eg: if col one shows sales values for current month, i.e it is restricted by using variable for curr month. In the title use the text variable to replace teh curr month value.

in the second col. restrict the sales again by using the var curr month only, right click on varialble and use offset by 1.

in the title for this col. use again the saem text variable as used earlier.

it will work....

Hope it helps...

Hi aby,

We are doing the same thing. This thing is working for all the months except the Current month -1.

The reason being that; the previous month key figure is calculated based on Current month and Current Month -1 values. and Hence the text variable does not know which value to take. Hope it clarifies the doubt.

Hello Varun,

Are you using the same variable (not the text variable) to restrict by month in both the columns(current and previous).

if not, try using the same variable(for eg:zvar for user input month) in both the colmns. only thing is use offset in the second column(right click on the zvar while restricting).

Also use the same text variable for both.

we have a similar scenario here and it works for both colmns...

Thanks,
