Dear all,
I have an issue in scheduling.
After MRP Run , the results of are as follows:
Sched St Sched Fin
FG 13.05.09 14:00 13.05.09 17:30
SFG 12.05.09 09:00 12.05.09 17:30
Whereas, system always schedules SFG Prodn Order backwards only from previous end of the day - 12.05.09 17:30.
Here , I want the SFG production order to be finished just sometime (say,30 min) before FG prod Order start time u2013 13.05.09 13:30 Hrs .
ie, SFG backward scheduling shd start from FG start date/time.
Is this possible?
Regards,
Sheik
Got reply from SAP that this is as per SAP std only.

Try to maintain inhouse production time as zero and float after production for SFG as zero & see if it works.

Dear,
Please check the actual available capacity means working Hrs. And then in FG BOM for SFG make lead time offset as - 30 min.
Please check and confirm

Dear Brahmankar,
The actual available capacity is (Working Hrs) - 09:00 to 17:30 Hrs.
Also, tried with Opr Leadtime Offset as 30- MIN in FG BOM for SFG . With this setting , only the Reqmt date in Component overview - general data tab in FG Prod Order is displaying the time as 30 min before.
But , SFG prodn Order finish date/time remains unchanged(.12.05.09 17:30)

Sheik
Dear,
Sorry these are the order SFG and FG so it will not consider the the 'Lead-Time Offset for an Operation' in BOM Item basic data tab. This is for the components must be available before the start date of the operation -30 min before of operation.
For this you need to maintain the float this is only option for this.

Dear,
Float will not help to determining the Requirement date of components it will help to define order start and finish date.
BOM lead time offset will help you to determining the Requirement date of components for that you need to assign the component to operation in routing and maintain lead time offset in BOM.
Hope clear to you.

Hi,
In case of backward Scheduling, as you are aware that the system schedules only from the Shift end time from Available capacity (17.30 hrs) in all cases. The 30 min offset between two operations of one production order can be achieved with the process of overlapping. But two different production orders in your case of SFG and FG overlpping is not possible to obtained as per your requirement. One way is to do the same with Capacity Levelling and if the number of orders are more then this process will be tedious to be carried out.
