COPA in PS

Can any one plz explain ...................in how many scenarios Project system module will interact with COPA

Investment mod

Hi,

COPA is used only in Customer based project as we get Revenue. The result Analysis is run to determine the Profitability of the Project.

You can use settlement to settle the values for project-related incoming orders to Profitability

Analysis. Profitability Analysis includes the values for business-wide profitability accounting.

Hi,

There will be no profit in IM based projects. So no question of CO-PA.

There will be only expenses.

I believe that In IM proejct COPA will not come. B'csue Normally IM Porjects are the cost / expense proejct. And so, you are not getting revenued in Project. Normally you genearate asset after settlement of project.

As Amit has told, In Customer Project COPA will come. It is totally discreation of Business, How they wanted to use their reports related to Profitability Analysis.

Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) enables you to evaluate market segments, which can be classified according to products, customers, orders or any combination of these, or strategic business units, such as sales organizations or business areas, with respect.

It helps in making strategic decision.

It is not required in case of investments
