Hi,

wat exactly u r looking for, u r question lil bit confused.

NWDI is a environment but its not a tool. if you want to deploy java support packages then u have to use the tools which has given by SAP.

if you are using NW04 (640) system then u have to use SDM.

if you are using NW04S (700) system then u have to use JSPM.

there is 1 more tool available thats called telnet.

Hi

1.SAP offers various tools that enable customers to import software into Java runtime systems. These tools cover the following aspects, depending on how a customer uses the software applications:

● Installations :Performed using the SAPinst tool

● Support Package imports: Performed using Java Support Package Manager (JSPM)

● Upgrades: Performed using the SAPJup tool

● Software developments in customer landscapes and modifications to the standard SAP system

Performed using SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI), for details refer: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/43/26b84d6c823f66e10000000a11466f/content.htm

2.If you have modified SAP software components in NWDI and you want to update those modified SCs with corrections delivered by SAP, you need to perform a modification adjustment in NWDI before you deploy the updates to the runtime system. NWDI and JSPM need to work together for this to ensure a consistent Java runtime system after the update. refer: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce711/helpdata/en/49/9575881370200ce10000000a42189c/content.htm

3.JSPM is integrated with the SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI). JSPM detects SAP software components that have been modified and allows you to apply support packages to them.

4. To apply update patches using JSPM refer the JSPM guide @ : https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/89ac337d-0c01-0010-b6ae-a9f2b88a...
