Date format issue for Visual composer

Dear experts,

I am creating some dashboards for some queries in BI

For one of the queries there is a variable as Key date. I would like the

user to input the date value using the date picker form.

However, the date format in Visual composer is different from my BI format. In VC the date format is DD.MM.YYYY but the BI system expects the format MM/DD/YYYY in the variable.

I can write a formula to change the format but some of the european users have the format DD.MM.YYYY

Is there a way the system picks the format from user profile data.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Changing portal language may give you the result.

Hi KK,

Did you try changing the language parameter of the user in User Administration (in portal)?

If you want the date format to be MM/DD/YYYY, then you could set the language to English (US.)

It works this way on VC 7.1 for date values, let me know if it works on 7.0 too.

Vani, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately we are not maintaining users in Portal. They are all created and maintained in ECC. We are just assigning Portal roles to the users in ECC. In ECC we have maintained it as MM/DD/YYYY.

Anything else you can think of.
