Copy from SAPDB 7.4 to MAXDB 7.5

Hello,

We need to copy a source system SAP R3 4.7 6.20 with SAPDB 7.4 to a target SAP R3 4.7 6.40 with MAXDB 7.5.

It is necessary to update the version SAPDB 7.4 to MAXDB 7.5 before of copy system?

Or can I use the export directly from SAPDB 7.4 source to destination MAXDB 7.5?

Finally I executed succesfully the export-import of the SAPDB 7.4 to MAXDB 7.5 without problems.

Hi Alberto,

if you're using R3load you can directly use MaxDB 7.5, 7.6 or 7.7 as target database.

In fact you shouldn't consider MaxDB 7.5 anymore as 7.7 is the current version of the database and that's where new features will get introduced.

Thanks for your reply. I have planned to migrate to MAXDB 7.5 and once installed the system, execute an upgrade to MAXDB 7.7.
