Problem during installation

Hello,

During installation of Identity managment database(Creation phase) getting error, please check the followings.

We are on Windows 2003 & oracle 10g patchset 10.2.0.2, all SAP IM components are resides on same host.

Is there any need of Oracle Client installation??

1) Installed 10g oracle binaries & Patchset.

2) Installed PHP.

3) While installing Identity Management database it is giving error:

ERROR:

ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error

SP2-0157: unable to CONNECT to ORACLE after 3 attempts, exiting SQL*Plus

mxmc-install.cmd should be run by system user, but getting confuse which system user, first of all database is not exists then from where it is picking up system user and second thing if it is picking from Operating system user then i am not able to see system user inside operating system user list

Hi Singh,

If Oracle is installed, then you should be able to connect Oracle Database with system(this user comes with oracle installation) user.

So i would recommend to check with SQL* Plus to connect to Oracle DB.

if this work then your mxmc-install also works.

FYI: mxmc-install.cmd install a db schema on Oracle.
