Hello Experts,
Here we are facing a quite funny situation.
We are having ECC 6.0 installation at SPS14.
Now when we try to access form 16 of some of the end user then in some computers it is working perfectly and we are able to see the pdf content.
But in some other computers when we click on "print form" tab we are getting the error message "Device type unsuitable for ADS documents".
I have checked the number of sap notes and checked my ADS configuration which found to be fine using FP_TEST_00 in SA38.
These are the device tpye defined in my system
Dev.type
AZPL203
AZPL300
HP9500
HPLJ4
HPLJIID
HPLJIIID
PDF1
POST2
Customer is using the following
Vendor Name : HP
Model No. : 3005
Device Type : Laserjet DN (Network Printer)
Please guide me in this regard.
Regards,
Partha
Thanks Petr

Hello!
It's quite possible, that some of the users have default printing device in SAP set to something like LP01.
In turn it's possible that LP01 (or other device used by problematic users) in your system is based on SAP standard device type SAPWIN.
SAPWIN (and its "relatives") can't be used for printing PDF documents.
Replace it with HP* or PDF1 or Post device type as applicable.

If user is doing this himself:
Inside SAP system use top menu
System -> User Profile -> Own Data
Open Defaults tab and check Output Device field.
If you are doing it for many users use either
SU01 transaction for each user or
SU10 for mass processing.
P.S. Please add line break to you code statements in your first post - it is tooooo long
and does not fit in my screen (and I have 26" display!)

Petr Perstnev
