Hi Experts,
Can we use the attachment in any of the XI Mappings (Graphical/ Java/ XSLT) in IE to map the target data? or
Can we convert the attachment into Payload using any of the XI mappings?
Please clarify
Thanks,

This is not possible in 3.0 or 7.0. You can do this only with an adapter module.
In 7.1 there is a new functionality to map the attachments. You can even create an attachment in a Java mapping.

Using Payload Swap bean module at the adapter level you can swap payload and attachment.
Now in mapping you can use this attachment. It all depends on your requirement and the attachment content to choose mapping type.

Attachments typically comprise non-XML data, for example, pictures, text documents, or binary data.
