I am new to ABAP and installed MINI SAP on my machine and now when i try to logon i am getting a message stating "FRONTEND DID NOT START WITHIN 60 SECONDS" and this aborts the logon.
can some one please help me with this so that i can proceed further.

Hi Arun,
1.Do u have enough memory to run the application?
2. Try Installing SAP Gui again?
I had myself got the same error. I had to close all other applications and tried again. It did work for me.

Thank you all for the replies but i am still not able to proceed..
I have been starting SAP MBS, SQL Server is running fine and all the properties are mentioned corectly and still getting the same error not sure how to go on ?? any more ideas??

Hi,
One more thing.
If you have not started MBS, you will recieve an immediate error saying "Partner not reached".
I guess you close all other applications and try again. Also take care about the earlier points i mentioned.

Make sure that you have started MBS.
Also make sure that your SQL Server is installed properly.
Make sure that you have entered the properties of the connection properly.
One more thing. You need to check that you have enough memory to run the application or else it will be slow connection and may timeout.

did you start SAP MBS.. it will be somewhere on the start menu.
i think this might be the problem.
