Planning function not reflected when a characteristic length is altered

Hi,

We are developing an application on BI 7.0 Integrated planning.

We have written certain no. of planning functions on a multi provider. Afterwards, we have changed the length of a characteristic from 8 to 10 in one of the cube of the multi provider. Then we have reassigned the characteristics and reactivated the multi provider along with its aggregation levels. But the planning functions are still running with the old characteristic i.e., 8 char length which is resulting in data mismatch when executing the planning functions. Syntactically all the planning functions are correct.

Could anyone please help us on how to update all the planning functions without rewriting them. We think the problem could be with the ABAP code that is generated when we write the planning function, which is not getting reflected after changing the characteristic length.

Thanks,

Narendra

Hi,

what kind of planning functions do you use? Probably FOX.

In this case you can force the regeneration using RSPLR_GENREP_DELETE_ALL

Enter the value FUNC1 for the I_APPLCLASS parameter.

Please note, that you need to delete all variants as well.
