Intercompany asset transfer via worklist incl. sub-numbers

Dear All,

I want to make an intercompany asset transfer via worklist (AR01 and AR31) of a huge amount of assets incl. sub-numbers.

Currently all existing sub-numbers in the source company code will have a new main asset number in the target company code.

Example:

source target

1000-0 2000-0

1000-1 2001-0

1000-2 2002-0

Is there a way to make the transfer to new assets and keep the structure of main and sub-number also in the target company code (automatically)?

Example:

source target

1000-0 2000-0

1000-1 2000-1

1000-2 2000-2

this is not possible with the mass transfer currently.

1. Is there a special reason why this is not possible?

2. Do you know whether SAP is planning to implement this functionality?

Hi Jörg,

no, there is no "special" reason from my knowledge, it has not been designed and implemented so far in standard.

And also the second one has to be answered with "no" ... I am not aware of plans to implement it currently ...
