Error while creating material

Friends,

while creating material mster I am getting this message resulting which system doesnt allow to save material.

"The field Tax classification is defined as a required field; it does not contain an entry"

Even if i enter Tax code same error is coming. Please help in this.

Enter the tax classification in sales org1 view and then save the material master.

If not find the tax data in sales org 1 view then Go to OVK1 , maintain the entries.

I maintaied "tax code"

Is it tax code or tax classification. Normally, in material master, this should be 1 for JTX1 to JTX4

It is tax classification code. If I provide it as 01 system is not able to save material master.

Hi Shiv

I feel you are working on IDES.

Keep your cursor on the field Tax Classification and press "F4" and then from the available option select one as per your requirement. If no option is available then go to Transaction OVK4 and maintain as per your Tax Category which is coming in your Materail Master.

hi

goto OVK4 and create the tax classification as applicable for the condition types ZCST/ZVAT

0=notax

1=12.5 %

2= 4 % or as per the requirement and then assign the same in MMR

First check whether the tax categories have any tax classification maintained

In MM MAster --> Sales: Sales org1 View , maintain under "Tax Data", Tax Classification Value.
