wrong digital signature for add-on installer

Hi all,

We are using SAP Business one 2005b server version..running on windows 2003 server. while trying to install XL REPORTER add-on its not allowing me to install ..its showing the fallowing error ' WRONG DIGITAL SIGNATURE FOR ADD-ON INSTALLER " .. is there any licensing problem for this.. please let me know as iam new to this.

Dear Kishore,

Please do the following steps :

1. Please go to the SBO-COMMON database, find table SARI, you will get

the data entry for your Addon. Please check the value of field

"AddOnChk". This is the digital signature of Addon executable file.

2. Then go to installer package of the Addon, open the ard file

(XLReporter.ard) with notepad then check the value of "addonsig".

3. Compare these two values, if they are different, please overwrite

"AddOnChk" field in database with the value of "addonsig" in ard file.

and then try to start the addon again.

4. If there are the same, the ard file or the executable file has been

corrupted. I would like to suggest you remove the installer package

from your machine, and download a fresh installer of Addon from SAP

Service Marketplace. After that, please follow the steps as per the

attached note ( Note no. 819501 ) to make your machine clean and

then install the addon again.

Thanks for your reply..as iam new to this feild i dont know exactly where to acess the database and that table..can you provide me the detailed steps for this.. We are using SAP B1 2005B version.

Regarding rakesh reply

SBO-COMMON Data base is in MSQL SERVER Open SQL server Management Studio Express .Ink .connect to the server on the left hand side there are some folders expand the folder with database name there you will saw data base for all of your company and also SBO-CMMON expand SBO u2013COMMON folder .double click the table folder then you will get a list of table in right side . find the SARI Table there open it and find the addonChk do what is explained by Rakesh

If this does not work I am afraid you have to format the system because this error u201Cwrong digital signature u201C is due to virus in system .please use good any virus in future and avoid using pen drives .

Hai Avtar,

I am facing the same issue, But not in all the client system. Some of the client system faced this "Worng Digital Signature error" . Addons are well working in SAP Server system.Plz guide me.

This is not a license issue. Please do below steps,

1. logon to server.

2. uninstall add-on from add-on register management.

3. go to sap\sap business one, find *.sbo files, delete them.

4. restart you server.

5. reinstall xl-reportor again.

hope it can fix your issue.

Thanks for your reply.. i did tht.. but iam having some more add-ons got installed in my server..if i delete that '.sbo' files this may effect for other add-ons right..can u suggest me any other method.
