Kernel Upgrade to 7.01

Hi

We have Solution Manager 7.0 Stack 17 installed on a Windows 2003 64 bit MSCS (clustered) environment, and want to upgrade to EHP1.

I followed the notes 1169247 and installation guide (Update to SAP Solution Manager 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 Using SAINT/JSPM)

From JSPM, once I got to the point where it ask me to restart the SCS instance, I have problem starting the SAPSOL_00 and SAPSOL_01 services.

It saying the sapstartsrv.exe is incompatabile and suggested to reinstall it.

When I do it manually, I replaced the kernel folder with the new one, same issues with stating the SAPSOL_00 and 01 services.

I have upgrade kernel version for this instance before, from 114 to 159 with no issues.

Please advise where I can go from here.

Problem solved, I followed note 684106 and got my kernel upgraded and instance started.

Hi Kevin

you are replacing the sapstartsrv.exe only in one kernel directory?, once check the links too, normally in windows, if link exists then you might have to put the things in both the places
