Hi,
Cost component structure would normally include material consumption accounts (primary cost elements), activity costs (secondary cost elements)
You need to identify which types of materials have been used in BOM. the consumption accounts for the relevant material types maintained in OBYC should be included.
Also, you need to check which activities have been included in routing. The cost elements assigned to the relevant activity types should be included.
Trust this helps.
Cheers

Hi!
Cost compoenent structure is to split your costs in order identify easily different costs and analysis purpose.
you can divide your cost into Direct material , indirect material, Man Power cost, Machine cost,Other costs etc. these are called in SAP Cost attributes. this is as per your client's requirment.
once you define these attributes, now you will assign cost elements( primary or secondary ).
You have to assign this cost component structure to company codes.
So, when you are analyzing the costs costs will be displayed under the heads nothing but attributes.
