Hi Gurus,
Last week the initSID.ora went missing from the OS. The DB jobs(ArchLogs,OnlineBackup,CheckDB) that were scheduled failed.
DBA generated the initSID.ora & put that in the Database DIR. It is working now. He suggested me to use SPfile instead of the initSID.ora for future.
Questions
1. What could have made the file missing from that location?
2. Would it be fine to change the Oracle_profile location to SPfile? How to change this parameter?
3. Does any other configuration need to made in SAP to incorporate this change?
Appreciate your help
SAP version: 4.6C
DB: 9.2
OS: Windows Server 2003
Thanks
Puneeth
