Can we do transfer posting against material document in MIGO.

if yes then which type of mat doc?

Dear Utsav,

If material staging is done for planned orders/production orders/process orders through MF60 a

reservation gets created for 311 movement.

.

Based on this reservation transfer posting can be made through MIGO or MB1B.

In general it will be done through MB1B against a material or a reservation.

Moreoever 301,311,309 movements are available.

It depends on your business requirement.

As we can see while selecting transfer posting in MIGO, we get an option for mat doc?

When it is used.

You can select any material docuement that was created earlier and does not have any reference to other documents. e.g. you cannot select a 101 movement as it has a reference to a PO. you cannot select a 261 document as it has a reference to an order. But you can choose a 311 movement to create another transfer posting based on this document.

You can transafer the stock through movement type 309 from MIGO Transaction through Transfer Posting.
