BW 3.1 BAPI's Not visible / Queries Visible

Hi,

I am using EP6 to connect to a BW 3.1 system. Using VC when I try and access the BAPI's present in BW , I am unable to even see a single BAPI. However I am able to see the all queries that can be used. I am also able to use the XMLA option to connect to BW.

Using the same scenario if I connect to the R/3 system I am able to see all the BAPI's and I am able to use them as well.

Any reason why I am not able to see the BAPI's that exist in BW. Any help is highly appreciated

When you use the BI Connectors, they show "only" queries, queryviews, infoobjects under queries, etc. And yes, XMLA is also an option to connect against BW, but it has some limitations (e.g. no variable support, only available with VC04s SPS8). On the other hand XMLA offers you the possibility to write your own MDX-statements.

If you want to see the BAPIs in a BW system, you have to connect the BW as R/3 system and search this system.
