Brtools

Hi All

I recently installed SAP ECC 6.0 on a three tier platform (Windows).

Where do I initiate brtools (on the database server on the application server?).

I tried starting from the application server and had to map the database drives, but now I am getting write errors.

Hope someone can assist me as I am in direr need to extend the tablespace.

hi ..khan

u can only initiate brtools on Database server,

On DB server, login as user <sid>adm & run brtools command at command prompt.Than you will get a menuy driven screen .

BR*Tools main menu

1 = Instance management

2 - Space management

3 - Segment management

4 - Backup and database copy

5 - Restore and recovery

6 - Check and verification

7 - Database statistics

8 - Additional functions

9 - Exit program

It seems that standalonge gateway is not installed

Note 739565 - Error message: No application server found on database host.

you need to install one application server on your database host.

you must use BRTOOLS on the DB server. it will not work anywhere else.

another possibility is to use BR*toosl studio.

the BR*Tools have to be run on the database host.

That is also described in the documentation:

You can only use BR*Tools to manage a database system that is running on the same host system.
