Upgrade SP13 to SP16 *GIVE POINTS* !!!!!

Hi,

I have requirement to migrate from SP13 to SP16, I checked on Marketplace according to "SAP Netweaver 04 Stack 15 and higher" implementation guide (2.3 Enterprise Portal section) I have to deploy SAR files for

<b>WAS640/J2EE</b>

os independent CTRL files J2EERT<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os dependant SAPINST<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os depend CTRL<DB><SP>_<PL>.SAR

os depend J2EERTOS<SP>_<PL>.SAR

<b>PORTAL PLATFORM 6.0_640</b>

os depend EP6CTRL<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os independ EP6TOOLS<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os independ EP6PORTAL<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os depend SAPINST<SP>_<PL>.SAR

CM+COLLABORATION 6.0_640

os independ EP6KMC<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os depend EP6CTRL<SP>_<PL>.SAR

os independ EP6TOOLS<SP>_<PL>.SAR

after going through this list I excluded duplications

and at the end for everything I have to deploy total 7 SAR files:

J2EERTOS<SP>_<PL>.SAR

EP6CTRL<SP>_<PL>.SAR

Now if I run Support package wizard (source SP13 target sp16, specified EP only)

Denis,

the files you stated are correct but your listing is not complete. Besides the "OS independent" files, you need additional files for our operating system (e.g. "Windows server on IA32"). Plus, your listing lack sthe control file for your database:

Altogether, you will need these files (assuming you are on Win32 with MS SQL and have EPKMTrex):

EP6KMC16_0-10002972.SAR

EP6PORTAL16_0-20000394.SAR

EP6TOOLS16_0-20000394.SAR

EP6CTRL16_0-10002786.SAR

SAPINST16_0-10002786.SAR

J2EERT16_0-10001982.SAR

CTRLMSS16_0-20000118.SAR <--- change this in not MS-SQL

J2EERTOS16_0-20000118.SAR <-- change this if not win32

I simply also went through the wizard at service.sap.com/sp-stacks and selected "Windows Server on IA32" and "#OS independent" in step 2 or 3. This gave me the complete list of required packages. You only have to deselect the control files for the other databases afterwards.
