Hi,

You can define plants as distribution centers within the context of Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) functions. For this, you need to maintain the associated entry in the customizing table in the basic settings of DRP customizing (customizing step Node Type Assignment u2013 Maintain Plant).

If you transfer the plants to SAP APO that are defined as distribution centers in the ERP system, these plants will be transferred as location type 1002 (distribution center). The transfer of the individual ERP plant settings (in the ERP system, a distribution center is nothing more than a plant) occurs in the same way as for production plants.

Thanks

Hi Fahrudeen,

1) Firstly, you need to define & create your distribution location in R/3 under the below menu path

spro > sap scm guide > enterprise structure > definition > logistics general > Define copy, check plant

2) Once the distribution center is created in R/3, goto t-code se38 t-code in R/3 enter the prog name as RIMODGEN which is generating integration model for cif for plants. Enter your distribution center and generate your integration model

3) Once it is generated, activate the IM using prog name RIMODACT.

4) Then come to APO t-code /n/sapapo/loc1 to check whether your distribution center is ciffed to APO under the loc type.
