Hello,
Almost a year ago, I had worked on VIRSA. AT that time I was aware of teh following components
- Firefighter
- Compliance Calibrator
- Access Enforcer
- Role Expert
But now I hear a number of new terminologies in GRC
- Process Control
- Access Control
- CUP, ERM,SPM, RAR
Could someone please help me understanding the relation between the old terminologies and the new ones(Basic classification of GRC)
Thanks.
Hi Gautam,
The GRC Access Control is newer version of VIRSA.
GRC Access Control comprises four componennts -
RAR(Risk Analysis and Remediation) earlier known as CC(Compliance Calibrator)
CUP(Compliant User Provisioning) earlier known as AE(Access Enforcer)
ERM(Enterprise Role Management) earlier known as RE(Role Expert)
SPM(Superuser Privilege Management( earlier known as FF(FireFighter)
GRC Process Control is another product of similar nature. While GRC AC controls authorization and security concenrs, GRC PC is for Busuness Process controlling.
