Pack.Proposal into the Transaction for HU Creation HU02

Hi Experts,

I've created a Packing Instruction (POP1 + POF1) for a Material 123456, using the Key Combination Material/Plant.

Now, I want to create a HU (Ta HU02) for Material 123456, with this Packing Instruction. But I don't have any Pack.Proposal for this Material into HU02 !

Any idea?

Hi David, check if basic data > matl group of material 123456 is maintained & if your packaging materials are assigned to that group (general sales tab). Apart from HU Management, you may also review settings in SPRO > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Packing. BR, Zuzana.

Hi Zuzana,

in the Packing Instruction, there are following Materials:

M - Material 123456 (MM03 Basic Data =>Matl Grp Pack.Matls = 1002)

P - Material 987456 (MM03 Sales General => Matl Grp Pack.Matls = 1002 and Packing Mat.Type = 1NP)

Customizing seems to be OK. What can I do with this Matl Grp Pack.Matls ??

When I try to find a Pack:proposal into HU02, I got the following Information:

Procedure 000000 has no determination type - PI Customizing is incomplete

Hi David,

You need to maintain the entry in the Transaction Profile for Auto Packing.

Please check with txn OVHU2.

Here for the profile 0008 (Non Assigned Packing) you need to assign the Packing Instruction determination procedure.

Please maintain this and check.
