CRM IC WebClient Profiles

Hi,

I am trying to view a new profile created for IC Webclient. The system keeps defaulting the standard profile when you go thru se80

Need help to know how IC Webclient can be viewed in the "ZPROFILE" created

Hi

Create your own IC WebClient runtime framework Z_FRAME-##.

IMG: CRM > IC WebClient > Customer-Specific System Modifications > Define IC WebClient Runtime Framework Profiles

Copy the framework profile Default to: Z_FRAME_##. As the framework profiles are XML code files, you have to proceed as follows:

Open up the framework profile DEFAULT.

Copy all the XML code to the clipboard.

Leave the framework profile DEFAULT.

Enter: Z_FRAME_## into the field Profile Name.

Confirm (yes) that you want to create a new profile.

Change the profile description to Framework Profile Group ##.

Paste the XML code from the clipboard into the file.

Save.

Assign your new runtime framework profile Z_FRAME_## to your own IC

WebClient profile Z_PROF_##.

IMG: CRM > IC WebClient > Define IC WebClient Profiles

After you have defined an IC WebClient profile you must assign it to an organizational unit or position

of your organizational model.

Scroll down in the list of infotypes and select IC WebClient profile.

-> Choose the Create or Change infotype icon.

->In the next screen, use F4 for the field IC WebClient profile to display a list of available profiles.

->Select the required IC WebClient profile and choose Enter/Save.

Hi Natrajan,

Thanks for your help. I was able to successfully review the entire process. My "ZPROFILE" was done correctly as per your note.

I am faced with the problem of assigning the profile to Organization Unit/ Position.

Was unable to do it in SAP Easy Access Screen.

1. Does the profile need to be assigned in Easy Accesss

2. Does the profile need to be assigned in SPRO

The notes on SPRO take me to the Easy Access.

Follow this..

1. Go to org structure using transaction 'PPOMW'

2. Locate the organization and position under it.

3. Right click on the position click on 'Assign' and assign the user and save it.

4. Double click on position again and select menu option 'Go to->Detail Object->Enhanced Object Description

5. In the active tab select IC WebClient Profile and press F5(Create Infotype)

6. Assign the Z profile

hi,

Thanks for all your help.

I was able to resolve the issue.

I made the assignment as mentioned by you.

In order to view my profile I need to assign myself as the user to the Org structure to which my profile is attached. only then was I able to view the new ZPROFILE.

Hi All,

I was Successfully able to make the ZPROFILE and assign it to my Org Structure as per the methods mentioned.

I still am not able to view my ZPROFILE IC

i e when i log into IC webclient... I get the old profile that is set.

I cant see the new navigation bar that i created for my ZPROFILE

Did you change the Nav Bar Profile from default to the Z profile created for customizing Nav bar under Web Client profile ??
