It was actually cache problem, where we need to run the test service in SICF and login to the portal.

Hi Sudhir,

I am having the same problem. I am not able to see the "Project Type" options in the drop down menu. Could you please elaborate which service needs to be test in SICF. Little detailed steps will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Gaurav,

Goto SICF execute the transaction, in the service field 'cProjects' and click on filter.

system will filter the cProjects path, then right click on the service and click on 'Test Service'.

Thank you Sudhir for your help. I was succeefully able to test cProjects but I am still not able to see the "Project Type" options from the drop down menu.

I think it looks like a "role" problem. Any suggestions on that please.

Hi,

you should have assigned all authorizations from both roles I mentioned.

Kind regards,

Hi,

Yes the roles are already defined, with the same authorization, the other person was able to create a project.

Is there any user specific setting which am suppose to do?

Check in PFCG if you have done User camparison.

That ICON should be Green

If you dont know ask Basis.

if it doesnt work, create a new user and check wih its id?

Also if you are unable to see Project types and other users are then may be your team has built in some logic to displayproject types userwise in z Table

check that

Let me know if it helps !

Hi,

does your user also have SAP_CPR_PROJECT_USER assigned?

Hi,

The below mentioned objects are assigned to me:

++Authorization for Checklist Template+

+Create Project Definition+

+Authorization for Project Template+

+Authorization for Evaluation+

+Authorization for Project Type+

+Authorization for Control Plan Template+

+Authorization for Version+

+Superuser per Object Category and Activity+

+Create Administration Authorizations for Each Object Type+

Do i nee do have these objects as mentioned below as well for the making the project type field open?

+Cross-application Authorization Objects+

+Basis: Administration+

+Basis - Central Functions+

Actually it was a composite role created including all the authorization objects as above.

Can any suggest me the solution for the same

Hi,

make sure your backend user has the necessary PFCG role(s) assigned (e.g. SAP_CPR_PROJECT_ADMINISTRATOR), see the configuration guide for details.
