Basic difference is in REM, a same product will be manufactured for a long period of time...
In discrete,the products will vary frequently....
REM:prodcut dont change frequently
components are staged at lines periodically
Backflushing
COst control is period based
Discrete:Product chane freq
COmponents are issued with ref to order
COnfirmation
COst control is order based,
